Using AI in to write, film, or make art means surrendering intention. Surrendering intention is sacrificing meaning. Sacrificing meaning is sacrificing humanity. And all of this at the expense of the planet. It’s a damn big cost for such a cheap product.

The only good thing about this “essay” on AI is that it “generated” such an incredible and real HUMAN response from real writers doing real work.

Listen. The only way you can become a good writer is by being a shitty writer and doing it anyways. You can’t magically become a good writer by having a machine do some of the work for you. That just makes you a fraud.

It's just words and you're just meat and nothing actually matters. Now go write your book.

🧵It is with sadness that I am parting ways with ELJ Editions. I did my best to help right what many had warned me was a sinking ship, and I have succeeded in getting three beautiful books out into the world through the Redacted Books Series.
