Unfortunately, rejecting alot of manuscripts that go way over typical page counts of chapbooks. some prose is way over 50 pages which 98% of them are on 8.5x11 paper size, so after typesetting, will be much longer. Even if it’s great, we’re looking for chapbooks atm.

Inkwood Books is a unique South Jersey bookstore because it indulges in community and small presses quite well. This year, Abigail Michelini was given an awesome event for BRACE, her debut chapbook, right in their building. We can't thank them enough and can't wait for the next event!

Giving Tuesday author tips pt. 2: -Slow down your set. -Wear a watch/timer so you’re not over time. -Let the emcee be formal. Focus on your set and creativity. -Plug another book or website. -Try to joke between longer pieces.

Giving Tuesday is about free tips for authors! -Sign copies of your book wherever you find it. -When reading, occasionally look up behind the crowd or a trusted person. -Ask bookstores about purchasing, if no, then consignment. -Book swag is your friend. -Thank the bookstore and readers, always.
