One big anti-woke tax we have to pay comes from the evisceration of environmental regulation and the attacks on private-sector ESG. The costs of pollution, toxic emissions, and environmental destruction don't go away, they're just externalized away from the destroyer and onto society as a whole.

It's just racism. The most horrific people are doing the most horrific things daily because they hate everyone who isn't white or they are in service of someone else who hates people who aren't white. None of this is more complicated than that unless you have an agenda to make it so.

it’s no wonder we get offerings of police-approved parades and donate $5 and just vote. we can’t even make space to hash out what substantive mass resistance could look like and what it would take to get there. it’s like people are afraid taking that step makes the possibility of acting on it real.

we simply cannot discuss possibilities of response in any concrete sense without people flipping out. we can’t even get to measuring out offered options in terms of what’s realistic or harmful or accessible or complicated. we are limited only to things that summarize to: fascism sure is bad, huh?
