Having worked for years in the senate, I am hear to tell everyone to skip all the nonsense and focus on the gist: The place runs on unanimous consent. That means every single senator needs to sign on things. If one senator doesn't sign off, the entire place goes into chaos.

Baffled by the energy people can put into literally shooting down impeachment efforts as a “waste of time”. Tf else are Dem congresspeople doing? “Reaching across the aisle” for a healthcare compromise that sucks ass? We want universal healthcare, we want impeachment, we want accountability - now.

What will be needed is forcing impeachment votes and organizing by a handful of members to make it happen. Then if leadership in any way shape or form tries to sabotage the efforts? Remove the leadership. They won’t be able to survive a concentrated populist attack this way from inside the House.
