Tonight's spooky season film was Edgar Wright's incredible "Last Night in Soho." It's become a bit of a Halloween staple for us and is possibly my favourite film of the decade.

Can confirm: they fucked up the Doctor Who Season 13 blu-ray with AI. How incredibly, incredibly disappointing. Especially after they denied it when the terrible trailer came out. What a shame. Hold on to your DVDs.

As it's our anniversary weekend we finally got around to opening one of the bottles of sake we brought back from Japan. Dassai 39 is my favourite, but we brought back a small bottle of the fancier 23 that is usually too expensive here in the UK. I'd forgotten how smooth and floral it is.

Vicky had some free cinema tickets that needed using so last night we went to see Tron Ares. It was...*shrug*...fine. No worse (or better) than the average Marvel film. It certainly could have been better but I didn't leave the cinema feeling actively angry like I have with many franchise sequels.

Cheered myself up by watching the new 4K Blu-Ray of Tron Legacy. A lovely upgrade over the older Blu, the HDR really makes things come alive and the sound is perfect. The detail looks nice overall but at times the digital photography does hold it back.

On the Kiki burnout scale I'd say I'm right about the point where Jiji stops talking.

We just finished watching the original Tron on 4K Blu Ray and wow! For some reason I wasn't expecting the film to look anywhere near as great as it does. The real world scenes look so detailed and the computer world glows with HDR, letting the wide colour gamut shine! Great stuff!

Relieved to hear that the new #4K #BluRay of #RockyHorrorPictureShow is the full length UK cut of the film which includes the song "Superheroes." I half expected it to be the shortened US cut as that was all that was on Disney+ when I last looked.

Midway through doomscrolling on my phone last month, I thought: ‘Why don’t I just read a book instead of getting depressed doing this?’ So, with zero alteration to my working hours, I now devote the time I used to spend doomscrolling to reading instead. I’ve read 6 books in the last 2 weeks. Happy!

For a while we kept Florence's bag of pellets on top of her cat tree and of course she worked out where they were. Even after moving them to a more secure location she'd still jump up there and look, so now we leave a portion controlled bowl of pellets there so she can still enjoy a "sneaky" treat.
