As a contractor/freelancer, I have a 30 day grace period for payment. If a payment is not made, I go pens down until it's in my bank account. It's important to protect yourself, obligations must be fulfilled by both parties. Luckily I've only had to do this once in my 4+ years of freelance

As with anything on the web, it is best practice to make sure you check the source & use critical thinking before sharing posts. Examples of questions to ask: 1. Who is posting the information? 2. What kind of credentials does the poster have? 3. Where is the source of the post's claim? And so on.

A lot of people don't understand that because Bluesky isn't algorithm based, it will NOT push your posts the way Xitter will. You have to interact with people, use proper hashtags, follow communities, etc. It makes it a lot harder to gain a community, but it's worth it.

Requiring someone to work without being paid is called "wage theft" and is blatantly illegal. If you are not being compensated properly for overtime pay, forced to work off the clock, or are being misclassified by your employer so that you're paid less, that's also wage theft.
