Did I purposely pause a book a few weeks ago on storygraph and then resumed it today just so I can have it as my first book of the year? Yes, yes I did.

I am going to finally read Drew Afualo's book. It was on my tbr last year but I never got to it.

It's very clear that we have queer folks who are not culturally queer and that is a big fucking problem. I don't get queers who don't try to learn their own history or who are not in community enough to figure out how the queer community works.

i can list out some books i want to read and then go look at the cover or maybe even read the blurb or the first page and then be like NOPE and go in a totally different direction...

This is a damn good point. Chani's statement is not factually incorrect but ignores the ace community. Because sapphic romance is not all fun sexy times as well. One of my friends, Sula Sullivan wrote a fantastic sapphic ace PNR book that I loved.

I am going to confess also that I probably read more than 40 books because there was some books I read I was pretty ashamed to put on my storygraph. My reading habits got strange last year, ngl.

I realized last year that I shout from the rooftops that web novels, serials, and fanfiction are real literature. But it doesn't mean much; I am not treating it that way. So I will be privately tracking all of that this year and then adding it to my overall reading count.

I dropped out of college freshman year bored AF with business administration. And here I go at my big age of 41 about to take some Business Admin classes for my small business.

I don want to finally finish my religious studies 101 course though. It was pretty interesting, I just got forgot about it and never came back to it.

This holiday break I have ranted about religion and secularism and now about Capitalism. Chile, who the fuck do I think I am? A college dropout (freshman in Business Admin too) and a professional smut peddler. I do not have a PH.D. in the humanities. Let me get back in my lane.
