I think it's rather telling when white people relate more to white oppressors in history than the human beings that were exploited or murdered. I just wanna scream, "those people would both be strangers to you today, why are you gravitating to the abuser?" And we'd both already know the answer.

I feel it's a decent litmus test for genuine motivation: if a white person feels personally attacked for someone pointing out that racialized whiteness has been used as a tool of oppression and abuse, They still relate to the abuser more than any other human in the picture.

But they’re doing with dangerous Black men what they do with white kids who shoot up schools by bringing “mental health” into the convo. A lot of people are “stressed” and don’t take it out on anybody.
