Great to be out on the streets today with many others protesting our rightwing govt's sudden overturning of decades of struggle for pay equity. But - will the Labour folks out on the marches today actually ensure any future Lab-led govt will fully reinstate/improve access?

Big turnout for the Womenâs Day of Action for pay equity. Billions of dollars have been stolen from low-paid female dominated workforces. This government can find huge tax cuts for tobacco companies, landlords, and big businesses - but not fair pay. That must change.

We are not immune to the social fragmentation that is currently ushering in a new age of global fascist resurgence, but this is caused by a completely collapsed information environment & increasing oligarchical control over the nation-state- not the existence of immigrants, however many there are.

The murder of Charlie Kirk is terrible for our country. Violence is not the answer. To learn from this, let's not fictionalize who Kirk was. A day before his death, he said: "Islam is the sword the left is using to slit the throat of America." That's not respectful speech. That's violent rhetoric.
