Discovered something fun on my ride today. Instead of following Mission Bay Drive straight to the Mike Gotch Bridge, I followed some riders turning left off the little traffic circle at the end of De Anza Cove, and found this quiet, dedicated path around the peninsula. Never noticed it before!

🧵 I have a long history of instant bike karma and today was one of my best yet. Heading north on two-laned, one way, India Street past the Farmer’s Market, I held my ground in the sharrowed lane as a punk was gunning it and trying to pass the row of cars in the other lane (through me!).

I really look forward to my long holiday bike rides, when fewer cars on the road means safer streets and fewer vehicles to deal with.
