The AI bubble may be about to bust. Peter Thiel has sold all of his Nvidia stock. We all need to say this very clearly: NO BAILOUTS FOR THEFT-TECH! Expropriate their asses instead. They stole from all of us and fully plan to burn the planet. They owe us - not the other way around. 1/3

When I worked in academia I never got my head round the idea that I could put an article on our website - accessible to millions - but that wasn't a publication, but an article behind a paywall - read by *precisely nobody* outside academia - was a "publication".

Government ministers should be forced to watch this film. It tells of the struggle migrants face even before they get to Europe. It's brutal. The idea that they have any assets to be seized is ridiculous.

If this really is what is being proposed, I think adding the jewellery confiscation policy + the 20 year policy could kick off the kind of PLP revolt that (without rapid u-turn) could entirely destabilise a struggling government that risks falling over on every front

This is the problem & do Cllrs or even Officers have the knowledge & inclination to call this out for what it is every time it gets raised? New guidance might be helpful. One man opposed to all cycle lanes in principle & a tiny extreme charity have been very effective at making this an issue.

I would love it if the BBC's response to allegations of bias were to become incredibly neutral... Farage been on QT forty times? Mo more until Greens have been on another 39 times to balance out the 5-MP parties, which means how many more for the Lib Dems?

Illegal migration isn't tearing this country apart, but our obsession with it is. It's an obsession fuelled by our media and politicians. Both profit from blowing the problem out of all proportion. It's been happening for decades, but never more so than now

Fly-tippers dump ‘mountain’ of waste in Oxfordshire field
Area’s MP says it would cost more than local council’s annual budget to remove the 10-metre high pile of waste Fly-tippers have dumped a “mountain of illegal waste” in Oxfordshire so large that removing it could cost more than the local council’s annual budget, the area’s MP has said. Hundreds of tonnes of waste, stacked 10 metres high, appeared in a field between the River Cherwell and the A34 near Kidlington. One charity called the huge dump of rubbish “an environmental catastrophe unfolding in plain sight”. Continue reading...

Workers like . . . graphic designers for instance. Next, when using a selection of images, VARY your images. Total rookie mistake. 2/
