I find this pretty outrageous. Judge VanDyke used the Tennessee Supreme Ct's 1840 Aymette decision to strike down California's ban on open carry in cities even though California allows concealed carry. The Aymette decision found there is no individual right to carry arms for private self-defense!

I buy way too many old books, and I admit I have a problem, but this type of thing just feeds my irrational, compulsive need to fill my house with them while I still can...

Five years ago this moment, the President of the United States was watching on television as a violent mob overran the Capitol Building, and he did nothing to stop them or help the people trapped inside. That happened.

I also wish more people were discussing this. For a few years, experts familiar with the Guyana-Venezuela situation have been warning that it would be where WWIII begins. British, American, and Chinese interests in the Guyana oil patch that Venezuela claims have been simmering for awhile.

I agree it's illegal, but I think it would still be wrong even if it were legal.

My problem with most of the law prof takes today on the Venezuela invasion is the assumption that there are legitimate or even virtuous reasons and methods of warfare & military killings that our lawless President didn't follow here. I don't agree with that assumption but I agree this war is wrong.
