It’s pretty simple. When you do a huge armed midnight raid on an apartment building rounding up and terrorizing children and later find out there were no criminals there everyone involved resigns in shame and we have loud showy Congressional hearings.

Reproductive rights was one of the Biden Administration’s signature policies. And Roe v Wade had been law for almost 50 years. The Supreme Court “interfered” with it.

The Supreme Court made up the "major questions doctrine," under which the Court gets extra powers when things are a Big Deal and what's a Big Deal is up to the Justices. Why not make up a new "signature policies" rule where a president can put things beyond the court's reach, like a franchise tag.

Brett Stephens doesn't want the Democrats to talk about Epstein because he likes Donald Trump and wants to protect him. That's the only explanation why he wrote about this.

Obviously no one should have to go through this but also what does she think happens to people she attacks? She can see what her audience does! Probably rude to say, but it’s worth stressing that the (rightful) disgust she feels is the taste of her own medicine.

The Trump family is chasing another real estate deal in Saudi Arabia. And the Saudis want a mutual defense agreement and access to U.S. nuclear technology. Looks like Trump and the royal family will both win, with our national security for sale. The only losers? The American people.

The shutdown was an excuse, not a reason, to go after SNAP. SNAP recipients have to re-apply either every 6 months or year. Onerous process, with almost no fraud. There are no shutdown-related requirement for SNAP renewal. But it would predictably result in low-income families going hungry.

Both parties should support this. Using AI to generate a video of a candidate saying something he didn’t say should be illegal. Especially since many voters think it is real. I will condemn any candidate from either party who does this.
