I'm making a playlist. I love the whole eastern raga/western psychedelic George Harrison sound but don't know many songs that sound like it. Any recommendations? Usuals to deep cuts, old to new.

In addition to collecting records I collect older travel and kids books with photos or illustrations of musicians. These two snaps are from âAround the world - Book Twoâ published 1909.

One of the saddest days of my life was when I got to check out my best pal's big brother's record collection in amongst Metal Box, the Clash, Stranglers, SLF etc albums were A Day at The Races and A Night At The Opera. I was so disappointed. I looked up to the boy!

I do like the look of matching labels and sleeves but would happily have every 45 in plain green utilitarian too.

This is probably a long shot but does anyone know (or know an archivist you can ask) where one could purchase archival grade record sleeves for odd sized records (6", 6.5", 8" etc) that is not 78rpm.com?

Remembering legendary drummer Count Ossie who was born 100 years ago today. He embedded African roots into Jamaican music back in the 1950s and 60s. Here's an early single featuring his band of Nyahbinghi drummers...

Kate Bush - Army Dreamers Elvis Costello - Oliverâs Army The Jam- Little Boy Soldiers The Skids - Into the Valley Trying think of songs by UK (non Irish) bands from 79/80 that were informed by the troubles. Bonus points if tunes are right after the death of Mountbatten & the Warrenpoint ambush.

Every Tuesday and Thursday in primary school we got Corn beef sandwiches. The meat had globs of fat the size of a five pence throughout and it came on margarine slathered curled up white bread.
