Not every country has the ability to attract millions of decent, hard-working, law-abiding people and make citizens out of them. We do, and that's a super-power we MAY still have if we can recover quickly enough from this current mania. We outta use it.

The pre-Trump status quo was we import lots of guest workers, deny them legal status, and more or less look the other way. They don't try to organize, and we don't do any real large-scale enforcement. That corrupt bargain was always unjust, and Trump has anyway blown it up. We have to do better.

This is what immigration does to our economy. Low immigration will turn our nation into one of those dying rural towns who is losing people and is losing the benefits- fewer options, worse services, less prosperity.
