The government should be protecting our public airports, not selling them off for parts. History is littered with examples of the failures of privatization. It drives up costs for the public, quality suffers, and workers always end up paying the price.

The Carney Economic Update is a mirage. Instead of bold action, we see public funds shovelled into private projects to make wealthy CEOs richer. The NDP is calling for a windfall tax on big oil's $90B profits to fund a Sovereign Wealth Fund that actually supports Canadians.

Carney is a 20th century leader. And not one of the transformational ones who took big swings to build things, one of the neoliberal late stage ones that tore society down. His vision is of a Canada that doesn't do big things, it has more soldiers and fewer of everything else.
