We travel to the past to uncover Leliana's backstory. Along the way we talk about the aesthetics of 2009, the different paths Dragon Age could have taken, pursuing romance in hopes of narrative relevance, manipulating people through approval systems, toxic yuri, and terrible Orlesian accents.

Not sure you can make a serious claim to "a new era of cyberpunk," when you're going out of your way to mimic the style of a 37 year old comic. There are millennials who are younger than that.

we're reaching a point with remakes where eventually the remakes will overtake the development of the original. soon enough we'll have remakes for games that have never been realized, remakes for things still in the conceptualizing phase. the originals, if they ever come out, will never compare.
