Just tried Neon Veil by Andrea Maack. It’s a stronger version of Sonic Flower by Room 1015, and not in a pleasant way to my nose. The ambrette and pink pepper at the top are so punchy that it’s almost uncomfortable (but take with a grain of salt since I have a tiny hangover).

SOTN is Nuage de Coton by 100Bon. Pretty inexpensive ($65 for a 50ml) and just the loveliest musk, iris, and ambrette. It’s not too powdery and retains some of the purple in the scent but the big star is the ambrette. It’s really pillowy and delightful. I suspect I’ll wear it more at night.

Had an incredible time making perfume today with EPC. I made two travel sizes. The 1st was cardamom moss- 4 parts, Tonka sesame- 3, cedar absinthe-3. The 2nd was bergamot incense- 4, jasmine osmanthus- 2, sandalwood musk- 4. It’s amazing how powerful a jasmine scent can be. I got to name them too!
