5 Jul 1934 in San Francisco was Bloody Thursday, when police killed two longshoreman strikers and a bystander and hospitalised 115 people. The strike was against casual hiring methods. Within 2 weeks the strike was general. More info here:

This has been the most spiritually bankrupt celebration of anything I've ever seen and that's it, that's our 250th. We don't get to go back and redo it, this one's in the books: Temu Arch, cheesy architecture, horrible displays, AI everywhere. Far right propaganda. Jokes at our expense

Step 1: Brag that Trump was fixing something Obama screwed up Step 2: Pursue most corrupt solution possible Step 3: As a result, badly fuck up Step 4: Loudly squeal that someone else sabotaged you, so as to dodge blame Whether it's the reflecting pool or Iran, Trump's con is the same.

All we have to do is LIFT THE FREAKING CAP! Of all the problems facing the US, fixing Social Security is the easiest. They just won't do it because rich people would have to pay a little more. There's ways to make it fair. How about for all income over $200K we pay 2% instead of nothing?

Except most of them are not murderers, rapists, pedophiles etc, and if they were they would more properly be in a jail and shouldn't be in the same facility with law-abiding families and children. Second, by all accounts the conditions are far from sanitary.

Trump canβt negotiate a better Iran deal than Obama did. β He's wasted billions on failure. This money could have been used for all the healthcare Republicans canceled. This is their pattern. Bush lied us in to a 6 trillion dollar war. When will Americans wake up?

Opinion | Trump canβt negotiate a better Iran deal than Obama did. Period.
The confidence Trump had that he would be able to negotiate circles around Tehran was sorely misplaced.

I think Francis handpicked Leo as his successor to do exactly what he's doing - to ensure MAGA Catholics do not know a moment's peace - and I think this Pentagon crash-out is proof that they know it will work. Trump got something like 58% of the Catholic base; Vance getting less would mortify him
