DH noticed that our Direct TV bill went up by $20 and also that we are subscribed to Peacock, which we never subscribed to. He called and they said it's because operating costs went up. He asked about the Peacock and they said that's part of the deal. So in essence, we are paying $20 for Peacock.😡

Getting rid of insurance companies without creating some sort of standardized fee structure would make our system even worse. Medicare for All, on the other hand, has such a structure, so it’s a viable option. I can’t imagine medical providers are keen on the idea of a billing free-for-all either.
