I have to say I don't really understand the bakery quitting fantasy trope in academia/PhDs. When I feel like quitting my PhD I talk myself out of it by remembering how much I don't want to work in food service/retail with 4 AM shift starts, no climate control, and heavy lifting again.

I got my COVID and flu shots on Saturday. Very grateful to be living in MA where these vaccines are available and covered by insurance. But dang, this year's vaccines walloped me good! It was my first time having any kind of reaction. Feeling better now though.
