John Entree is NOT the "Entrées Guy". He's just a guy with a last name who has eaten a normal amount of entrées. I have eaten over 2500 unique entrées. Many which can be independently verified. Further paper tests allow further wizardry - this time in a more contemplative mode, though.

I have some new papers to test out and how better to test them than to paint a wizard on a journey? Here's their first stop, a quiet forest.

One of the most surprising elements of oil pastels for me was how much the substrate affected the painting. This study was my first done on wood panel, and compared to absorbent paper, using them on wood prevents the oils from being absorbed, and the pastels work so much more like paints!
