They are saying 32% GST and 72 for retirement age so we will happily accept 20% GST and 68 for retirement age. Why don’t they say 5% wealth tax and 40% corporate tax on big conglomerates? No of course they won’t say that no siree.

As a tiny business that has to factor GST into my product prices, some of which are very strictly set by the market (ie: $15 for pins), GST raises just result in lost profits.

Tell you what tho, the 70,000 plus people who left for australia are definitely not going to concerts in NZ. Nor are all the people out of a job. Or the people barely making ends meet whose housing/food costs are taking up all their income. Or the people who are sick all the time.

Please buy your children dictionaries and encyclopedias if you aren't on that already!! They eat that ish up. I associate reading encyclopedias with there being nothing better to do in the 80s but found out that kids love how tactile they are and how they can use them independently
