obviously yes, a lot of girls are writing porn and that is great, actually, but also there's a reason so many trans women feel compelled to write about sexual power dynamics specifically, in both horny and decidedly unhorny ways

broader society pretty much exclusively relates to trans women along the axis of sex, whether that's through direct fetishization, scaremongering about sexual perversion, or just refusing to ever stop thinking about our genitals. many people first learn that trans women exist at all through porn!

there's even a sizeable contingent of people whose entire deal is masturbating to drawings of trans women's bodies while insisting they're actually doing something else because trans women are disgusting! people fuck us and then turn around and pretend it never happened!

given all that it shouldn't be the slightest bit surprising that a lot of thoughtful work by trans women ends up incorporating themes of sexualization and dehumanization! but instead people just uncritically contribute to the problem by acting like the explanation is "trans women are perverts".
