as mindless and boring as tracing feels? it also seems like time spent tracing has the highest return on my skills. like, my eyes and hands are learning to draw, not compose. still from memorys and full from lines are important to synthesize i think.

i don't want to do tracing today, but with several days off my practice i think just training my eyes and hand is what i need.

Yugioh monster, early yugioh monsters are actually my most common trace/refrence. Did the lines on this one only with a pose i changed, still has proportion problems, i need to make multible color layers next time the lines vanish where the swords cross. But....i did good for being a week in.

Definitely need to do more tracing of insects before i try line drawing them, need to burn exoskeletons into my brain properly.

Weird, the new one is so much worse than the old one. I messed up the lining phase as i drew over the shapes layer, and just once again proportions are my bane. The lines are straighter though, and this one was so no reference so maybe not weird?
