I’m a resume writer. I wrote an article that was about my writing process, and the reasons I don’t use AI to write. I posted the article to Reddit. Several people claimed that I used AI to write the article about not using AI. Some ran it through an AI detector with mixed results.

Teachers are already reporting that AI detectors ding their brightest students for using AI, and that those students have figured this out and started simplifying and genericizing their prose to avoid getting punished for using AI.
