Rewatching The Wild Robot. RIP Jim Shooter. Comics legend. As a Marvel editor, he was handed a new toy license to do comics for. Neither Hasbro or Marvel leadership cared about their quality. Jim did. He rewrote Hasbro's character bios to not be shit, and made his writers treat it seriously. That license was Transformers.

A great example is even in the tech fields that seem sci-fi there is boring stuff. The biggest unsolved problem in neuron-machine interfaces, for instance, isn't decoding brainwaves or injecting information or whatnot. It's Tissue Encapsulation.
