Now that I look at your replies, why was I the one you chose to reply to? A survivor of CSA and sex trafficking. Why do you throw hypotheticals at me when you know the answer bc it’s written in your question? Singling out and trying to silence survivors isn’t a good look or quality in a human.

Sure the QA will suffer, the quality will suffer, and in the long term it may hurt their reputation an future sales, but think of the bonuses the top brass will get for cutting costs in the short term.

here is my story about how Zohran's focus on community amid the loneliness epidemic helped young people connect their politics to an organizing infrastructure, that interviewed ZM, and does not use the NYT's framing of "they don't know how to make friends" :-) and also ran 4 days before NYT's lol

Zohran Mamdani's Establishment-Fighting Campaign Built Community for Young People
“What Mamdani has done is not only inspire and mobilize young people, but he has exposed the establishment and some of their calcified views of participation and inclusion.”

No one knew about sunscreen either. In the 90's, the average kid was basically living like a stranded sailor at sea, badly sunburnt and desperately in need of water.

I hope that a hundred years from now people talk about me as some kind of racist asshole. I don't want to be judged by the standards of my time. I want to be judged by a better world and found wanting, because that will require that better world.

the political policy cure for “male loneliness” is - more time to hang with the fellas (4 day work week) - more money to spend with the fellas (higher wages) - more things to do with the fellas (taxing the rich and building 3rd spaces)

Folks, you can't report the United States to its manager. There's no superhero coming to save us. We don't need one giant act of heroism. We need millions of small acts of solidarity. Help one person in your community for nothing in return. Then, do it again. And again. That's the revolution.

AI slop faces are, like AI slop text, lorem ipsum. Space filling meaningless noise your mind simply can't hold onto afterward because there is just a smooth meaningless surface.

This is not a fun fact at all. Shame, Jack Dalton. I think I'll try to forget it and just remember them accidentally casting him as a guest on Babylon 5 when they thought they were casting Everett McGill as my Bruce McGill fun fact.

RIP Graham Greene. Every time he popped up on screen when I was a kid, my mom would excitedly point him out for being an actual Native on the screen. Able to be deadly serious and infinitely hilarious (even in smaller roles like Last of Us), he ate up the screen. Nʌki’wah brother.

Billionaires say we need to increase the population so we can have more Mozarts while simultaneously saying we don’t need Mozart because AI can make music better than a human anyway. They don’t mean anything they’re saying. It’s all just words to hide their greed and white supremacy behind.

The thing that infuriates me most about this is for many of these federal workers losing their jobs, their primary concern isn't for their own employment but that work they (rightly) see as vital/important is going undone. Even with their firings, they're still more concerned for the public good.
