A tooth I’ve been saving to fix fell apart last night. I’m trying to get an emergency appointment with my dentist. I don’t know if I’ll be able to pay for this. Also because I kept putting numbing gel on my tooth I didn’t notice I that I had not chewed something quite right. So I nearly choked.

On yesterday, June 1, my vibrator began smoking shortly after use. As I was reaching to unplug it, there was a loud pop and a small flame and the room went out. I put it out with a blanket. Unplugged it. She was my old reliable. I can’t afford another one right now. I am going to scream.

Nursing nightmares I never thought to have: The day sup calls me at noon. I wake up and immediately assume I somehow missed a patient. I think every nurse has this nightmare. Today I was accidentally butt dialed. Cardiac ward, please.

Like many other nurses I try to keep an organized work bag. I have a bag with a pocket for my stethoscope, & bags so nothing is loose & I can locate things inside by touch. I rarely open it at home. Usually on my days off. When I got off work after that shift from hell (2 nurses didn’t show up).
