I used to, and frequently still do, help ppl with food and needs. I have hospital bills. They are taking quite a bit out of my savings to pay and the rest has gone to staying alive while I’ve been out of work to the last 2 weeks. Having an injury as a nurse means not working until it’s healed.

I go back to work next week if my doctor agrees. If I have to extend the FMLA, it’s going to get really tight. The pain has gotten a little better. The big thing is I remember I much time it took for me to convince the medical team to look at my ribs. That was when I had aphasia.

I’m at my doctor’s office and have made the discovery that the person I have called by one name for over a decade didn’t answer because THAT ISN’T HER NAME. How did I do this? Her voice is very similar to the voice of the nurse who used to answer the phone. I just thought she didn’t like me.

I asked my neighbor to go to lunch today. She said yes. My neighbor and I have taken to gossiping in the hallway but I can’t stand for really long periods of time. So we are gonna go get lunch lunch and gossip there. I have so little in common with this woman but she wants a friend and so do I.

I forgot to say this because I was focused on good things but on the second day of my hospitalization, while the doctor increased my pain med amount, my day nurse only brought me one dose of pain meds. I asked for them repeatedly. I was at the hospital until about 6 PM. +

I wriggled and squiggled and found a comfortable spot and Lilith the cat bounced RIGHT onto my back. Right on the ouch there’s definitely a broken rib spot there.

Got a call from my Dr.’s nurse to check in. We discussed a few things medical, including our frustration with the lack of studies on new drug interactions in order to ensure evidence based practice, the new nursing bag that I got that is easy to organize and I love (she was v happy for me) -

MRI complete. Apparently I’m getting an o2 consult. I should have been on oxygen this whole time. Rib pain is affecting the depth oh breathing.

I’m honestly writhing in pains and they don’t want to give me Tylenol “because you’d be on too many meds.” That’s not how Tylenol works. Tylenol potentates narcotics.

My ex let me know that our cat Ozzie died. Ozzie was the kitten I drove to Missouri to get. We had just lost his dog, and my ex primarily worked from home. He bonded with the cat. So he took Ozzie and the dog Eddie in the divorce. He let me know a while ago that Oz had cancer. Such good kitty.

My cats.. Honestly I need a break from them. That sounds whiny but Lucy is a loud cat and I haven’t been getting decent sleep. And I have done it all. I check boxes and water and food. We play before I go to sleep, sometimes an hour.

I finally got my teeth fixed from when I fell on my face. I had no idea how much those chipped teeth made me feel like crap. Also my nose is numb.

This also happened last year. The motor on our garages are freezing. They are out fixing them today but last night I had to take a Lyft (which won’t be covered) by the apartment complex - it’s BS. I need out of this apartment so bad) to work and back.

If I do get a tv I’ll get a Roku stick. If they are still around. But I need to decrease the stuff I own. Down to a studio at least. I would like to have a Winnebago situation. Honestly, I’d love to have a partner, like a business partner, and a clinic in a trailer set up.

So over 3 years ago my broken leg had healed and my then partner helped move my tv into the living room and said they’d help me hook it up the next day. After that I’ve tried several times to change my service to WiFi only and I finally did. I’m going to donate that tv.

I had a Comcast account pre college. I got rid of it when I went to college. I had dsl. I graduated in 2025. That entire time Comcast wouldn’t let me link my current account with my phone number, citing the other account. Finally, they have fixed it. It only took 20 years.
