Speaking up in Parliament like this really matters because it shows up the incoherence and cowardice in Labour's position. The minister can't hide behind platitudes like "dignity and respect" when she's being asked what she actually expects a particular trans constituent to do.

We are really concerned by Seema Malhotra's statement to the commons that: "Most people have the common sense to step in when necessary, for example when a person of the opposite biological sex enters a single sex facility in error - and when to alert a member of staff."

This is right - we need to change the law to fix the Equality Act!

This is unworkable and a huge step backwards for human rights. I will be calling on the Government to urgently rethink this before it's too late.

The EHRC's Code of Practice has been approved by the Minister of State and laid before Parliament. We hear and share the community's shock and alarm at the proposals. A statement from us: 👇

It is appalling that Keir Starmer is refusing to give MPs a say on the use of UK air bases to support Trump's strikes on Iran.

The Gorton and Denton by-election shows people are bitterly disappointed with Labour but horrified by the rise of Reform. In many parts of the country, it's the Liberal Democrats who can stop Reform.
