Apparently the rapture is happening on Wednesday and now I'm like should I even bother folding my laundry if I'm going to be fighting to avoid eternal damnation on Thursday?

Supposedly, the Rapture is supposed to happen next week? So how come evangelicals went to the grocery store today?

Fun Fact - The Rapture isn't in the Bible It has never been in the Bible. I'm serious. Google it. The rapture is an entirely separate concept that only started appearing within 19th century interpretations that just... inserted it or were complete misinterpretations of the scriptures.

Apparently on Christian tiktok they're predicting a rapture on Tuesday. So I'm going in to work early, laying out an outfit of clothing in my office and pretending it got me.

Sen. Cory Booker to Kash Patel: "I don't think you're fit to head the bureau, but here's the thing, Mr. Patel: I think you're not going to be around long. There's no excuse for the Vice President of the United States to use a heinous killing as an occasion to baselessly frame political opponents as accomplices to murder while threatening to use the power of the government to attack them. This dangerous rhetoric will only fan the flames.

The free speech activist who built a list of professors he worked to get fired for their speech must be celebrated for his support of free speech, and anyone who quotes his speech accurately in context will be fired and/or face state punishment by the champions of free speech, do I have that right?

When JD Vance tells the world that Kirk was a "critical part if a political movement", he is saying Kirk was essential to grooming students to accept our Authoritarian dictatorship & Christian Nationalism & the violent overthrow of democracy.

Sorry – the killing of Charlie Kirk was wrong, but having his body flown on Air Force 2, flags at half-mast, having him lie in state, putting a statute of him in the Capitol, and giving him a Presidential Medal of Freedom are all entirely inappropriate.

people are talking weird about Charlie Kirk. "you weren't in the target audience to hear his inspiring and faithful words". hmm kinda like how an abuse victim isn't in the "target audience" to get treated with kindness and respect by the abuser. there's a target audience, and there's the targeted

The right is trying to turn Charlie Kirk into a martyr. His killing was tragic and criminal, and the shooter is in police custody. Many don’t know much about Kirk. Here are some of his own quotes.

Giving Kirk credit for his “open debates” is textbook revisionism. Throughout his podcasting career, he weaponized the guise of dialogue to fuel propaganda, radicalize the right, particularly the young, while normalizing cruelty, racism & misogyny. That’s not debate. That’s indoctrination. 🛑

I hate everything Charlie Kirk stood for, but I never wanted him dead. I didn’t care enough about him to want him dead. I rarely even thought about him, except to laugh at how poor of a debater he was when I saw clips. I think I’m probably not alone here.

Charlie Kirk’s wife and children were not even in the state of Utah when the shooting occurred. His daughter did NOT try to run to him in a state of fear from the noise from the shot because she was NOT there. These are all lies spread to humanize Kirk and make him into a martyr. Do not fall for it

Charlie Kirk’s wife’s husband was a terrible, terrible human being. Charlie Kirk’s children’s father was a terrible, terrible human being. And their grief is likely immense but we are under zero obligation to honor the dead when the dead were evil. He was evil.

Now we know, they have no idea where the shooter is, or even who the shooter is...for that matter. I mean, what could go wrong when you have an FBI Director with no experience...and an idiot president who insisted on firing the most experienced and longest serving experts at the FBI.

As someone who spent many hours listening to Kirk’s show on AM radio, I would say that he made Rush Limbaugh seem like Walter Cronkite by comparison, in terms of rhetorical tone and empirical rigor. The subtext of every show was “You don’t hate the left enough.”
