I'm playing Starfinder tomorrow (later today?), and my vesk envoy, Radokama, is in a bit of trouble. She was in Starlance when the rebellion on Vesk-6 happened, so she had to evacuate. As an emissary, this doesn't reflect well on her. Worse, Vesk-6 has joined the Pact Worlds.

I'm going to be playing in a Starfinder game starting on Sunday and I've got a vesk envoy, someone else has a vesk solarian... I'm sensing war crimes in our future.

Just finished The Wyvern’s Spur. It was fun! Kind of like a D&D bottle episode in that it was limited in locations—mostly Giogi’s townhouse, Redstone Keep, the Wyvernspur Crypt and the House of the Lady right up until the big set-piece battle at the end.

I am not quite done with it yet, but The Wyvern’s Spur by Kate Novak and Jeff Grubb is an absolutely crackpot D&D novel and I love it. It’s rather different from Azure Bonds, but Giogi Wyvernspur is fantastic.

Every time I hear news about Winds of Winter I can’t help but think, why do people still care about this?

My boss is at the shop today for a few hours—not to be open to business but just as a place people can go play games if they need someplace to be for Thanksgiving. She messaged me saying she's getting so many calls asking if we're open for business and wanted me to check Google about our hours.

Squaring off against a misguided priest doing terrible things in a point-and-click adventure game when my character says she'll stop him, and he very simply, very humbly, from behind bars, says "You can try, but I have God on my side." Chills.

Seeing a number of videos saying how D&D really needs to be played weekly and… yeah I’m kind of in agreement. You might be able to get away with biweekly 8-hour sessions but otherwise I feel you really need that kind of commitment if you’re all serious about the game.

My main thought on Pluribus is that I am far more interested in the journeys of Carol and the world than I am in Carol "solving the problem". If she just "solves the problem" then the show is garbage. Personally I have more faith in it than that.

I’d also want to record any other speakers on a completely separate audio layer so that I could edit their vocals separately from mine. E.g., record discord separately from my mic vocals.

Does anyone have advice for setting audio up for recording on different tracks in OBS to avoid issues in editing? I want my vocals on a separate recording than game sound, but haven’t done this before. I suspect that would make it easier to fix vocals without harming game sounds 🤔
