Today was my first time taking my child to the Children’s Renaissance Fair with her cousins - I used to take them when they were younger. Highlights included painting this castle, shield making, and the troll at the bridge. It really is magical to see a community come together to let kids be kids.

We get a lot of our household goods, including all of our diapers and wipes, at the commissary. I’ve learned that commissaries are also great job creators and help to provide some stability to decommissioned bases. There are many veterans who shop at them and depend on the low prices.

My child’s Waldorf playgroup was supposed to start weeks ago. Her teacher was sent to teach 1st Grade. School finally admitted there is no replacement and is offering refunds with the offer to re-enroll when they hire someone. My heart is broken and there is a big hole in our week.
