It just further shows how the ace and aro experience, and the struggle against compulsory sexuality and its associates, is in fact, very, very old. In seeing our experiences in old texts, we can also see a path to ace and aro liberation.

This conference has been a wonderful breath of fresh air for me, having been so used to the idea that asexuality and the ace experience is something "new" - it's just so amazing to see these experiences mirrored and seen in what is seen as "old".
