My kids met another kid whose parents I know. The parents don’t remember me, so I’m saved from reminiscing and talking about mutual friends.

My wife and I rarely talks about politics and her job, because our time is so precious after the kids go down. When we do it is a lovely commiseration over the shit in the world. It lasts maybe 10 minutes and then it’s time for #GreatNorth, #Taskmaster, or #StarTrek

I haven’t had coffee in nearly a month. Not because I’m trying to be the all seeing and all knowing space baby at the center of the universe. Ma hernia damn blammit! So now I drink tea, sew flouncy fleece skirts for the kiddos, and eat hot soup. I just need some hard candy and I’m in grandma town.

Today we had a celebratory meal at a restaurant and my kids were blown away that we didn’t have to clean up after ourselves. We rarely go to a restaurant other than the one at Ikea. 😂

After leaving the library world for stay-at-home papa life I also became a Youtuber. I recreated my library storytimes and did nearly 200 videos before a publisher threatened to sue me. I still have the videos and dust them off for my kids sometimes #readaloud #kidlit #picturebooks #libraries

My wife and I watched the new James Acaster special on HBO Max. Hecklers Welcome was superb! It’s a blend of his past styling with a new absurd honesty. It’s cliche to call things punk, but I think it’s apt in this case
