the other thing that stands out to me about the writing in both Hades: it just goes in an out of you with little to no impact. The voice acting is phenomenal but the writers can't make compelling characters within a story if that makes sense. it's all white noise to me.

what also stands out to me is imo players aren't really interacting with each other, especially in Constructed formats. In limited the board is usually filled with creatures and you can look for some interesting plays, lines of attack. constructed is two people playing Solitaire regardless of deck

the only thing remotely interesting is Limited, where you draft your cards from a pool with other players, that has 2 problems: - the game and it's online platforms insist on charging you an arm and a leg for this once in a lifetime unique experience, like about 3$ per entry, where you play 3 losses

I learned recently that apparently MTG is the only thing generating any actual profit for Hasbro because the margins are so insane, it's like 90% of the company's revenue or something. Again insane when you consider that it's absurdly overpriced cardboard.
