In my life, I've encountered preachers on two ends of a spectrum: -The preacher at my parents' church who delivers the safest, most nothingburger sermons that never risk upsetting or inspiring anyone. -The preachers at my job who keep it real and explicitly support queer people and immigrants 24/7.

Scrooge (1970) is still my absolute favorite adaptation of A Christmas Carol (great music, casting, set design, tone, and direction), but I just watched The Muppets Christmas Carol for the first time, and it's a lot of fun.
