I feel strongly enough to consider leaving SFWA. I’ve been a member for ~20 years as, besides anything else, I think the medical fund and contracts/grief committees are important. LLMs are based on stolen work used without payment or permission—the literal antithesis of SFWA’s raison d’être.

Great development. I've hated the attempts to deter fare evasion with serrated metal and other "fortress NYC" style additions. For all sorts of reaons, the experience of taking transit should be aesthetically pleasing and these gates, which are common everywhere, are a step in the right direction.
