Finally got back into Eiyuden Chronicles, and i have to say... i am really happy Yoshitaka Murayama got to make this game before he died. While i think his best work will always be Suikoden 2, EC is a really fantastic swan song and a love letter to Suikoden. I hope making the game brought him joy.

Really sad about Catherine O'Hara. I watched the John Candy documentary a few weeks ago, which led me down an SCTV rabbit hole. She was always a gem on screen and definitely a comedic genius. Her presence in comedy will be sorely missed.

Okay. Shrine's Legacy was a fantastic, bite-sized RPG. I'll be honest. I'm not mad at a 15-hour throwback RPG that plays it straight the whole time. No tongue-in-cheek jokes. No sly winks to the audience. Just an RPG made by people who wanted to make an RPG like the ones they played as kids.

I agree with this. I was radicalized into woodworking, but it could easily go another way.
