Having a brain disease is insanily isolating. People disappear on you as you struggle to communicate with a broken brain. The longer you're sick, the more you lose of your life until there's nothing and no one but you and the cats. When all you can do is read, thank fuck for #OFMD fanfictin. 🖤💀

Over a year ago, I got very sick. I had slowly been getting sick for two years until one day, my brain couldn't manage it anymore and I collapsed. I had to relearn how to walk and talk again. I nearly lost my vision and had brain surgery. The old me is dead. Long live the new chronically ill me. 🖤💀
