Ok, I’m reading bits and pieces on transfers, and obviously looking at The World Cup. However, what I’m not reading about is - what looks to me - a complete collapse of the PL shirt sponsorship market? I know the betting ban has kicked in, but it seems a lot of clubs are now late with new kits?

I’ve seen a lot of clamour for double figures of new arrivals at NUFC and others this summer. That may well transpire but worth recalling the huge volume of transfers that don’t work out. This illustrates things perfectly. Stick to one in, one out, lads. 2-3 positions upgraded if you sell a big one.

An absolute wall of noise around the summer window, as always, but I do appreciate the NYT/Athletic’s more ‘level-headed’ approach to football transfers via the deal sheet (mainly because it’s put together by actual journalists). Good narrative on all clubs involved.
