Built some "bling" objective markers for Warcrow. Two per player, plus four neutrals, with glass marble denoting player control (if any) -- enough for all current official scenarios. The STL was originally for a tall fantasy lantern thingy, but I modded it in Blender.

I saw an infographic a couple years ago about how to remove source identifiers from links and why it's important, but I can't find it again and too many people I know are sending me links with them so here's an infographic straight from the oven

Solar + storage is now $104 per MWh in Las Vegas or similar regions for nearly 100% clean firm power. There is no way new nuclear can compete with this. Even new gas plants will struggle and that is assuming access to cheap gas over the life-cycle of the plant, which is kind of a crazy gamble TBH.

I get annoyed at the narrative that all the awareness and work on climate change hasn't done anything. Yes, global COâ emissions indeed continue to climb, but we don't know the counterfactual. When I was in grad school, we were on track for 5°C of warming. Now it's below 3°C. That's progress.

The fact that so many "AI" start-ups turn out to be digital sweatshops full of humans sweeping up after idiot LLMs introduces the funny idea that the particularly delusional cohort of chatbot users convinced they're in love with it may actually BE in love. It's just with, y'know. Brown foreigners.

The thing about trade deficits, is, odds are you buy a hell of a lot more onions from the supermarket than they buy from you. That is a trade deficit in onions, a huge one because odds are you haven't sold them even a single onion. Imagine getting so angry at this you set fire to the store.
