The comments on this video on TikTok are so interesting to me because it is a lot of people saying that we can’t do this because what if Republicans try it to or what if Republicans reverse it. “We have to change the court the traditional way.”

Bari Weiss just sent this Christmas Eve email to the CBS News staff about "building trust," which includes her tripling down on spiking the CECOT piece "to make sure it's comprehensive and fair." One CBS staffer tells me: "She really has no idea how insulting she comes across."

Bari Weiss has made repeated recent interview plans with Epstein associates (framing it as the kind of thing Americans want, while most just wanted the files). Now she spiked a story about the most famous Epstein associate kidnapping people & sending them to a foreign gulag.

All of these links went to promotion of this story earlier today. All these links are dead now — that's how thoroughly they've scrubbed this.

Seems worth noting at this point that Weiss's internal critics at the Times were correct and her many apologists among elite pundits were wrong
