If you’re trans & born before 2000, when asked who you are you can legit answer: “Do not ask me for a single title, I have crossed millennia under different names and worn more than one form besides. Revered by some and feared by many, I am remembered differently in each age that survives me.”

and I realised that whilst I've been prevaricating over HRT because I feel sandblasted by transphobia, the question 'do I wish I was raised by witches?' is easy. Today I joined a private gender clinic.

Anyone campaigning for this manifesto, to elect candidates who are bound to implement this manifesto, cannot call themselves an ally to the LGBTQ+ community. This is a segregationist manifesto. Electing candidates on this platform is doing harm to our community. It's that simple.

"oh but the times are so inopportune maybe I'll just defer transition until it's easier" even if we ignore the fact that exempting like 2008-2024 this is still the easiest time in human history to transition, do you seriously think this is all gonna be more survivable on the wrong hormonal profile??

The Peggie ET made it clear that spouting off about chromosomes/ TW in prison is harassment. The 1st 2 years I was at the OU some colleagues did *just that* almost every day on the staff forum + I was told officially that they were allowed to because of academic freedom/some other cowardly BS. 1/

Deliberately misgenderng children is abuse. Abuse causes a 64% likelihood of poor mental health into adulthood. If schools, parents & the Streeting/Starmer conversion therapy centres for trans kids do it they are deliberately harming children, harm that will continue throughout their lives. 1/6

I have been saying this for years. The qualitative evidence has long pointed towards trans women and AMAB non-binary people coming out later in life - on average - than other trans people. Every bit of moral panic about trans boys coming out young also betrays a deep transmisogyny.

One thing that's striking about Ozzy Osborne's death is how difficult it is to imagine the music industry producing another figure like him. The barriers to working class people are so great, and there's a related attitude to culture that is neutered as a result.
