🚨A federal judge just ordered Trump to release FULL November SNAP payments. Once again: it should not take a judge's order to compel Trump to feed hungry Americans, but this news is a relief to families in need. Trump must follow the law and join us to reopen the government NOW.

Trump is tearing down the East Wing, remodeling bathrooms, hosting Great Gatsby parties and gifting $40 billion to Argentina during this shutdown. Meanwhile, American families are wondering how they’re going to afford their health care. You can’t make this up.

This is one more example of why we can’t give a lawless president a blank check. Our states should not be held hostage when they stand up against Trump’s lawless mass deportation agenda. The courts keep telling him what everyone else knows: he is not a king.

Today marks the longest government shutdown in U.S. history. Federal workers are suffering, families are hungry, and Americans are being denied essential services—all while Congress sits empty. It’s time for Johnson & Trump to come to the table and reopen the government.

This shutdown will severely harm Maryland’s farmers and small business owners. It will disrupt funding for crucial benefits like WIC – which supports 183,000 Marylanders. Hundreds of thousands of federal workers and government contractors could miss paychecks — or see their jobs eliminated.

Republicans have the keys to the kingdom. The White House. The Senate. The House. Tonight, they have used their power to shut down the government. The American people, including our patriotic federal workers, will pay the price for Republicans' callousness and incompetence.
