Roger Ailes being upset that Nixon had to resign because the Watergate hearings were on tv every day and the reporting on them was accurate is the origin point of Fox News and right-wing media. This should be common knowledge and the starting point for any conversation about our media environment.

(4) Trump and the Republicans don't have an advantage over Democrats because they *better understand heartland Americans.* They have an advantage over Democrats because they created their own universe of propaganda outlets, and then went out and bought all the mainstream outlets. Duh.

Trump vs. US was the final straw imo. You cannot read that ruling and continue believing they have legitimacy. It is not only against the plain text of the constitution, it is anathema to the national ethos. It is offensively, insultingly un-American and they ceded legitimacy by committing that sin.

The entirety of Congressional D messaging about the budget – 100% of it - should be: Rs control the White House. Rs control the Senate. Rs control the House. Rs control SCOTUS. A government shutdown proves they cannot govern.

1.2 *million* Americans died from COVID before these vaccines were approved and we had widespread access to them. Reducing access to vaccines that are effective and have saved so many lives isn’t simply anti-science, it’s anti-American. And people could die because of it.

Birthright citizenship is a Constitutional RIGHT. Any attack on it is an attack on us all. This is an attempt by far-right justices to attack immigrant communities and remove protections from any American who questions Trump. Your rights are nonnegotiable. We can’t compromise on that basic fact.

To be a right-winger is to believe things that are simply not true. Some of those things have real world consequences—like COVID and climate denial, anti-vax nonsense, etc. Calling misinformation misinformation isn’t censorship. The truth is the truth, no matter how political the right makes it.
