2/2: ... so I was very surprised to see it was a chunk of Willow Pattern! It's as thick as a tile, but it has grooves; I was mystified until someone identified it as a serving platter/meat carving platter - the grooves are gullies for draining the juice!

8 years since I rode a horse. My retired mare is living her best life in a 25hectare paddock with a gelding & 20 cows as companions. My new mare has just turned 15. I am her 9th owner, she's been with me for 3yrs now & she's ok to be lightly ridden after a lot of health probs. We rode today. Bliss 😁

Spent a glorious afternoon yesterday freediving (line training) in the pristine waters of Jervis Bay, NSW. View to Point Perpendicular, the bay's northern entry point.

Thelymitra ixioides (spotted sun orchid) variations growing side by side in open grassland near the Genoa River, VIC. Most spotted suns here have smaller flowers (+ fewer flowers / plant on shorter stems) than more typical coastal forms. Flower colour + shape is also very variable #orchids #ozplants
