It was unfortunately obvious at the time the judge decided not to grant her anonymity that she would only be able to live a normal life if she fled the country. The judge's refusal to understand the political and practical realities for trans people has destroyed an innocent woman's life.

I think the most consistent pattern in legal cases in the past year is a complete refusal by judges to take trans people's human rights seriously. The consequences of being named publicly as a trans person in a high profile case were dismissed for both Dr Upton and Rose Henderson.

Curious that this is newsworthy. Man fired for refusing to follow employer policy. Previous tribunals had found that employers who had policies insisting on trans people being treated with respect were allowed to fire people who refused, so it's not even a new finding.

This is silly. There are many ways NHS England harms people. An anonymous survey asking people what makes them comfortable is not one of them. The worst it could be is a waste of time. The ridiculous and paranoid response to this just shows how badly the NHS has lost trans people's trust.

This survey is fine and there are no risks to filling it out. I know we're all suspicious of the NHS right now but please stop scaremongering about a harmless (and potentially helpful) anonymous survey. None of the questions are identifying information. I've posted screenshots below.
