I really enjoy that possibly without exception, every person I make watch this show has, as their first comment, WHAT is with the PRIDE BUNTING at the ILLEGAL SNAKE FIGHT. Love a show that starts as bonkers as it means to go on. Love is love is snake fighting is love.

Khemjira is really hitting that sweet spot of feeling like it's got a little more heft than your standard BL, while not making me feel like I've been put through a blender

This is probably pretty individual, but consistently if a scene I'm writing feels tedious, it's because: a) I took a wrong turn somewhere upstream b) the scene doesn't need to be here c) I'm trying to withhold information that should just come out at this point

Does anyone else have a distinct physical sensation they get in response to a particular emotional beat in a story? I get this swooping pang in my gut when a character has the specific experience of "I didn't know I valued this until I lost it *entirely through my own fault*"
