I’m disgusted by the Mn. DFL Constitution, Bylaws, & Rules Committee overturning the endorsement of Omar Fateh. This decision expands the chasm that exists between the left/moderate DFL & the conservative/monied “DFL”ers

Let's clear just ONE thing up about the Minneapolis DFL convention. This is an important photo taken at 9:40pm with the floor locked, in which @beukema.bsky.social counts 331. It's about 2/3 of the room, I'm off camera left where there are 100+ more. ANY claim there wasn't a quorum is a damn lie.

Additional thoughts on the City DFL Convention: 1) Progressives and some Moderate DFL’ers don’t like Frey. 2. It’s tough to “buy” a DFL endorsement. Paid staff cannot replace DFL delegates.

It takes 20 + people to organize and implement a Mpls. Ward Convention. Thank you to the volunteers who showed up to help put on the Ward 1 DFL Endorsement Convention. Thank you to the 200 + Delegates who showed up on a Sunny Saturday to endorse a candidate.

Thanks to all the people who showed up at the Ward 1 Caucus - volunteers, participants, conveners, campaigns, and candidates! Democracy is alive and flourishing in NE & SE Minneapolis. We survived another one!

The old guard membership of the Senior DFL has been highly concentrated in South & SW Mpls and over 90% white. I joined a year ago and I think I was the only member from NE Mpls. Hopefully, the membership will become more diverse in various ways over time.
